BE MINDFUL OF YOUR GRIP | A handshake should be of medium pressure — don’t grip someone’s hand too forcefully

AVOID THE LIMP “FISH HAND” | The other extreme is a limp “fish hand” which leaves a very poor impression

USE YOUR WHOLE HAND, NOT JUST YOUR FINGERS | Offering only your fingers to shake also creates an awkward grip and is not professional

USE THE 3 SECOND RULE | The length of a handshake should be no more than three seconds or the time it takes to pump someone’s hand 2 to 3 times
